after the storms

under these creepy skies, everything was eerily quiet friday morning. we took a walk to see how our neighborhood had taken the blows of a big storm that capped off the days of continuous rainfall.

Lakeview was destroyed -- I could not go across Barry to Damen and had to go back through an alley because of huge old trees that cracked in half and blocked the streets. I was at the office when the sotrms hit and the windows were bowing, and trees snapped on LIncoln and fell on people's cars.

Our neighborhood was okay though!
