a sweet surprise today. the little bluebird card from my daisy chain vintage shop was included in this cute collection by lots of charm. thanks, jennifer! and while i was clicking around checking out the birdies, i happened upon another surprise...
this adorable soft sculpture hare named ekaterina was handmade by a lovely customer of daisy chain vintage using pieces of this vintage deer and daisy fabric. her shop is called dragon house of yuen. seeing this makes me think of the long trip this pretty cotton print made from a fabric store in the 1960s to a collector's stash to an estate sale to an antique shop to my collection to my etsy shop to scotland and now reborn as a unique hand crafted item that is sure to delight the lucky buyer who snaps it up! it's a little mind boggling, but pleasing, to contemplate.
it is not a far stretch in my mind between perusing etsy pages and indulging in a few fudgy brownies. so here is the second of the three best brownie recipes, which i promised yesterday. if you love rich dense intensely chocolatey brownies, these are for you - enjoy!
thanks Sandra,
such a delight to see Baby Hare Ekaterina here!
The fabric is one of the nicest I have ever seen, I just love everything about it - so glad I managed to buy a piece before they all went!
many thanks,
Annette
