well, it feels that way a little bit. at least i like to go around saying so.
a year ago in the midst of another cold april in the city my dear friend and fellow photo enthusiast gigi leonard and i sat over coffee and pastries brainstorming ideas for a creative collaboration. we settled on something simple. we chose one month from each of the four seasons of the year. may, august, november and february. every day of those four months we took pictures of our everyday impressions of the season and posted one photo by midnight. at the end of the four seasons we edited the 240 photographs down to a pairing of 20 images to represent each season. and, voila! 4x2!
you may preview and purchase 4x2 now at blurb. i love this book and i hope you will, too.
soon 4x2 will also be available at my etsy shop and gigi's etsy shop. this summer we will add a selection of prints from the project for sale in our shops, followed by lovely card sets! please stop by to check them out.
in celebration we are giving away one copy of 4x2! to enter, please leave a comment below by midnight (central time) saturday 4.25.09 and we will announce a winner on monday 4.27.09. commenting once here and once at roadside scholar increases your chances to win :)
this shared project was such a pleasure (and a challenge) we are planning a new one for the coming year. i can hardly wait to get started!
thank you so much for your continued interest and encouragement. it means a lot to me.
and happy earth day!!
I would love to have a copy for my husband. He is really into photography and even had a photo published. From what I can see,the photos look great. Thanks!

many of these people are coming from a sweepstakes alert site and don't care about your book. They just want to win stuff. They're showing up on my blog, too.
