i had lots of ideas for stitching more miniature woodland animal embroidered portraits (aka embroidimals) but definitely wanted to make another black bear for my bricolagelife shop. using silk and cotton twist, i encircled him in a pine wreath this time and dotted it with red berries. rather than mount him as a covered button, i stuffed him with new wool and three pinches of dried lavender, backed with a vintage cotton red and white polka dot fabric scrap and trimmed in a bit of vintage plaid bias tape.
i added a length of striped cotton ribbon, a button and two red glass seed beads, and now this little bear is ready to decorate a christmas tree, winter solstice celebration, hang on a wall or be used as a sachet.
find the winter black bear here. i have more embroidimals to list this week and a big surprise giveaway to post on friday!
happy cyber monday :)
thank you so much, nicole! that made my day :)
