the blackbird began in much the same way that the black bear embroidimal did, as a one inch miniature portrait...

 
but this winter ornament was trimmed in vintage rickracks and a row of black and white seed beads. a length of woven swedish cotton ribbon makes a loop for hanging from a branch or on a wall. find him here.
